James R. Cowgill, CPA

Jim Cowgill is a lead partner in the Boulder office focusing in the audit service area of EKS&H and has been with the firm for over 15 years. He has provided services to closely-held businesses, venture capital backed companies and public companies in a variety of industries, including high-technology, clean technology and renewable energy, manufacturing, leasing, distribution, franchising, hospitality, retail, professional service, and natural foods and products. Jim has assisted numerous clients with capital-raising activities (both public and private equity and debt offerings) as well as ongoing Securities and Exchange Commission reporting compliance. He also has extensive experience in audits of employee benefit plans, and consults and conducts training courses and seminars related to benefit plans.

His professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. Jim is an active member in various professional and industry organizations.
