FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Gaylen R. Hansen re-appointed to the PCAOB Standing Advisory Group

Gaylen R. Hansen, audit partner and Director of Quality Assurance at EKS&H, was re-appointed to the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s (PCAOB) Standing Advisory Group (SAG). He is responsible for the firm's accounting and auditing policies and standards at EKS&H, including ethics and independence, as well as addressing U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting and PCAOB auditing issues. This is the third reappointment for Hansen. He has served on the SAG for six years and will serve through 2013.

Hansen is the Vice Chairman and Chairman-elect of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). Currently, he serves on the Professional Ethics Executive Committee of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Consultative Advisory Group to both the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board and the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants. He also serves on the International Auditing Standards Task Force of the AICPA. Mr. Hansen previously served as a member of the U.S. Treasury Department's Advisory Committee on the Auditing Profession and President of the Colorado State Board of Accountancy.

The PCAOB Board convened the SAG to advise the PCAOB on the development of auditing and related professional practice standards. The SAG includes auditors, investors, public company executives and others. The SAG meets two or three times a year and is chaired by the Board’s Chief Auditor and Director of Professional Standards.

The PCAOB is a nonprofit corporation established by Congress to oversee the audits of public companies in order to protect investors and the public interest by promoting informative, accurate, and independent audit reports.
