Experience

My greatest passion is to develop meaningful trust-based relationships with the CEOs and business leaders I serve. I strive to be the advisor, coach, and personal mentor my clients need most in order for them and their businesses to thrive. With over thirty years of public accounting experience, and numerous equity offerings under my belt, I specialize in the audit, tax, merger and acquisition, and consulting needs of both privately held and public companies. As the manufacturing leader for the Rocky Mountain region, my industry expertise includes domestic and international manufacturing and distribution, mining, transportation, technology, and energy.

My clients know that I’m always here to listen, no matter what. I help with everything from strategic planning and execution and capital formation, to merger and acquisition transactions and the intricate dynamics of family business, including succession.

Clients also appreciate that I’ve completed numerous IPOs, having worked with over 25 publicly held companies over my career. I help clients build a sustainably stronger culture that will drive their business’s ROI while focusing on their biggest asset — their people.

I serve in leadership roles within a number of professional and community organizations, including the Colorado Advanced Manufacturing Association (CAMA) which I helped found, the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry (CACI), the University of Missouri School of Accountancy Advisory Board, Colorado Business Experiential Learning Commission, which creates apprenticeship training programs in manufacturing and accounting, and the Cherry Creek Schools Foundation.

I frequently write manufacturing-related articles and speak professionally about trust and servant leadership before many organizations and national and regional conferences. I was also the 2017 commencement speaker at my alma mater, the University of Missouri Trulaske School of Business, where I received a B.S. in accounting.

I love taking advantage of all that outdoor Colorado has to offer in the way of snow skiing, golfing, fly fishing, and hiking. My wife Nita and I enjoy spending time at our mountain cabin with friends and family every chance we get! I also enjoy puttering in the yard to unwind.
